Sr. Accountant

In the role of Senior Accountant, you will handle the preparation and consolidation of financial statements, the analysis and reconciliations of accounts, and the analysis of cash flow. You will also establish budgets and forecasts, prepare audits, and manage internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Expert analytical skills are essential to succeeding in this job. Responsibilities

• Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required

• Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

• Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

• Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions

• Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

• Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

• Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations

• Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary

• Participate in various department-wide initiatives Requirements - SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience

• Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus

• BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

• Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

• Experience with ERP systems

• Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines

• Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus

• Demonstrated knowledge of Month-end Financial

• Month-end Reports experience

• Monthly Account Reconciliation experience

• Command of Month-end Close Activities

• Earlier work involving Monthly Financial Statements

• Month-end Journal Entries experience

• Monthly Close experience highly preferred

• General familiarity with Monthly Balance Sheet

• Adeptness in Monthly Accruals

• Month end closings experience desired

• Background working with Monthly Close Processes

• Practical knowledge of Monthly Closings

• Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

• 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

• Excellent verbal, written, and social skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis

• Able to manage time well
