There's a career-building opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to join an innovative Real Estate & Property company in a permanent role in the KAPOLEI, Hawaii area. As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities

• Participate in various department-wide initiatives

• Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests

• Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

• Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process

• Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

• Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.

• Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations

• Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

• Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary

Requirements - Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)

• Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

• Experience with Job Cost

• Accounts Payable (AP) experience

• GAAP Accounting experience

• Command of CPA

• Adeptness in fixed assets

• Auditing experience

• Proficient in ERP systems

• SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus

• Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued

• Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills

• 5+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

• Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

• Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

• Strong time management skills preferred

• Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines

• BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
