Sr. Accountant

A well-respected firm in the Technology field is working with Robert Half to find a Senior Accountant with previous accounting experience. In this position, you will be in charge of preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, creating budgets and forecasts, and preparing audits, as well as managing internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. To be successful, candidates need to be highly adept at analytics and working in challenging, fast-paced environments. What you get to do every day

• Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions

• Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary

• Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

• Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external

• Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management

• Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner

• Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests

• Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations

• Participate in various department-wide initiatives

Requirements - Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued

• Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing

• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

• Must have excellent time management skills

• Demonstrated ability in strong analytical, quantitative and social skills

• High attention to detail

• SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience

• 2+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

• Self-starter and strong ethical standards

• Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines

• Expertise in Month-end Financial

• Month end closings experience desired

• Experience with Sage Intacct

• Proficiency in Month-end Journal Entries

• Sage Intacct experience preferred

• Experience with ERP systems

• BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

• Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
