The Benefits Analyst will be responsible for driving the Company's benefits function: performing extensive plan analysis, design, and modeling for all health and welfare benefits plans. As the Analyst, you will also be responsible for all compliance-related activities (required audits and IRS filings) as well as managing all vendor relationships (examples include broker, insurance carriers, wellness, and 401k recordkeeper).
Recommend benefits programs to upper management by studying employee requirements and usage trends and developments in benefits offered by competing organizations
Prepare and execute, with legal consultation, benefit documentation such as original and amended plan texts, agreements, and policies
Conduct research, analyze data, and prepare recommendations requiring a broad understanding of benefit plans and practices
Instruct broker representatives and other third-party administrators to effect approved plan changes
Conduct plan-related financial analyses and reconciliations
Handle employee benefit inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution
Perform other related duties as required and assigned
Demonstrate behaviors that are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Finance or related field, or equivalent work experience preferred
3+ years of relevant work experience
Deep understanding of plan design concepts and issues
Advanced skill set in Microsoft Excel
Experience with self-insured plans preferred
Experience in the health insurance industry is ideal,
Experience with interacting with finance and accounting departments
Project Management experience
Reconciliation and Payroll experience is a must (Reconciling all our carrier's bills each month to ensure all Employees that are on it are there and anyone termed isn't)
Payroll specifics: 401k contributions, HSA, adjustments, monthly billing, etc.
Excel and Analytics is a focus - working with Excel to create reports, reading reporting and data for monthly business reviews
Compensation experience is a plus (previous finance industry is excellent, but anything in a corporate-type compensation structure)

Strong Analytics
Payroll adjustment- Updating Qualifying events and updated adjustment events.
401k contribution- make sure everything matches from 401k and internal.
HSA contributions: Running reports and making sure everything checks out ok.
LOA insurance follows up and verifies. Work with COPA
