What You'll Get to Do:

• Develop an integrated data platform for ingesting, conditioning, storing, and disseminating data to the user community

• Enhance data discovery of textual and geospatial data

• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize the performance of data platform

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

• 10 + years experience in software/data engineering & data ingest

• Candidate must have a current TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field

• Strong Experience with NiFi

• Good command of Linux/Unix and command line knowledge

• Experience with elasticsearch, Kafka, and HBase

• Experience in application administration, configuration, and integration

• Familiarity with agile development methodologies

• Skilled and disciplined to work with a distributed team

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines is essential

• Passion for new technologies, software, and processes

• Ability to travel 5% of the time

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• Experience with Containerization (Docker) and Container Orchestration (Kubernetes)

• Significant experience with cloud native technologies

• Other tools: Helm, GeoServer, Databricks

• Familiarity with AWS

• Current certification compliant with DoD 8570 IAT level 3 (COMPTIA Security +)
