    About the Team:

    The Sr. Engineer - Test is responsible for numerous testing functions, including on-time hardware/software development and validation, problem solving, project team membership, test program development, customer/supplier collaboration with involvement in Test Systems development and application engineering operations while serving as a technical liaison for test activities that support internal & external customers.

    • Execute test engineering operations, translate test specification into test program to be implemented into the Test Equipment according to customer needs.

    • Actively participate in the definition of test plans, procedures, work instructions, DVP&R's & FMEA's.

    • Setup, configure, and operate test setups, software and instrumentation as required by test plans, test standards & customer guidelines

    • Direct the implementation and deployment of software, testing apparatuses and machines

    • Lead multiple major projects of high complexity requiring innovative solutions & customer interaction.

    • Manage long-range project planning and budget tracking for multiple projects

    • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for test equipment/ software issues in the development & production stage with involvement in escalation/resolution activities

    • Provide specialist-level technical guidanceto multiple groups ensuring the completion of testing activities for new & existing products to meet company & customer requirements

    • Lead and participate in department activities to test & develop devices under test (DUT), continuously improve existing testing & analysis techniques & to develop new departmental processes

    • Lead troubleshooting of customer issues & ensure that all testing/investigation activities are completed in order to achieve a final root cause resolution with the customer

    • Maintain test equipment resources for laboratory usage; direct actions necessary to develop alternatives to problems & to ensure that timelines are upheld

    • Sustain a specialist-level working knowledge of new technologies that may improve operations; especially with respect, customer applications, testing techniques, OEM & company development processes & implement optimizations accordingly.

    • Develop testing processes, tools, procedures, and technical solutions for implementation of new product development initiatives

    • Provide analytical guidance & technical expertise to test engineers for investigations & devise special testing solutions to resolve customer facility issues

    • Develop best-practice guidelines based on product development strategies to improve performance & customer resolution methods

    • Participate in continuous improvement programs & provide support to interdepartmental team efforts

    • Maintain professional & technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, formal training, reviewing professional publications, establishing & expanding professional networks, & participating in professional societies

    • Ensure departmental compliance with all TS16949 policies & procedures

    Your profile:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field

    • 7 - 8+ years of engineering experience leading technical projects in a product development, testing, and/or manufacturing environment with software focus in the related area

    • 3+ years of applications engineering experience with a focus on test equipment

    • In-depth, specialist-level knowledge of lab management software

    • Self-supervising within the direction of management

    • Able to make sound engineering decisions

    • Ability to work effectively in team & independent situations

    • Knowledge of technical landscapes with respect to product testing/design/application/development

    • In-depth understanding of electromechanical systems design, troubleshooting, and repair

    • Comprehensive understanding of testing processes/equipment

    • Proven aptitude with data acquisition, analysis, processing & statistical methods

    • Familiarity with DFMEA's and DVP&R's

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs and other relevant software

    • Experience in managing complex, long-term project plans

    • Ability to interface effectively with customers, cross-functional teams, & all levels of personnel/management

    • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    • Proven technical ability within a product development, testing, and/or manufacturing setting

    • Excellent English language competency

    • Ability/willingness to travel both domestically and internationally (up to 25%)

    Preferred Skills and experience:

    • 5+ years of experience with automotive system testing technology

    • Knowledge of 5S and Six Sigma problem-solving methodology

    • Professional career experience in the Automotive Industry

    • Knowledge in E-mobility and/or battery testing environment

    • Extensive hands-on experience with modern vehicle systems
