    Position Summary

    The Sr. Human Resources Generalist/HRBP is responsible for providing human resources support to assigned teams and team members. This includes topics such as employee relations issues, salary administration, performance management, organizational effectiveness, recruitment, compensation, and talent management. This role will also support the Manager of Human Resources by communicating, delivering, and influencing human resources strategies and procedures throughout the team.

    Responsibilities

    • Partner with line management on delivering business goals and HR processes to a diverse population of Energizer colleagues.

    • Provide guidance on employment related issues (such as ADA, FMLA, FLSA, harassment, discrimination, diversity, corrective action, and progressive discipline) to operations leadership.

    • Facilitate HR processes and operations programs to ensure ethical, fair, and consistent approach.

    • Assist with the creation and implementation of effective training and development programs to meet requirements, skill proficiency and development needs.

    • Supports the development and administration of programs, policies, and processes to facilitate employee and organizational engagement.

    • Provide counseling and direction to employees, facilitate communication, and help to resolve conflicts that impact employee engagement.

    • Provides counsel and support to managers/supervisors on issues of company/HR policy application.

    • Partners with operations to resolve employee relations issues. Investigates, counsels, and assists in resolving issues.

    • Lead the hourly recruitment, onboarding, payroll, performance management, and offboarding processes.

    • Lead the facilitation and administration of the leave process for the plant. Work with leaders and the vendor to facilitate a seamless/collaborative experience for colleagues and managers.

    • Be an advocate for continuous improvement. Determine what processes, tools, and systems are effective. Identify gaps and look for ways to optimize efficiency. Drive digitization of tools when beneficial.

    • Assist in building talent capability and bench strength, ensuring the right people are in the right jobs. Facilitate talent reviews, succession planning, calibration sessions and performance management where appropriate. Demonstrate ability to understand how the business/client groups operate at a fundamental level and partner with the team to implement these solutions.

    • Act as a strategic partner, employee advocate, safety champion, change agent, and administration expert.

    • Promote the Company competency models, and performance management process.

    • Ensure legal compliance and mitigate the Company's risk through having a strong understanding of relevant employment laws and established processes. May track/monitor necessary information related to AA/EEO/ etc.

    • Support the implementation of HR strategies and initiatives in partnership with the Human Resource Manager and Center of Excellence teams; proactively identifies and shares best practices and processes.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    What we are looking for

    • BS or BA In Human Resources, Business or another related field.

    • 5+ years of functional Human Resources and business partnership experience.

    • 5+ years knowledge of federal, state and local laws as they pertain to HR practices.

    • Strong leave administration/management skills.

    • Systems savvy; Time and attendance, HRIS, and digital communication.

    • Strong problem solving, relationship building, and collaboration skills.

    • Effective persuasive and presentations skills.

    • Highly effective interpersonal skills.

    • Professional and proactive in resolving issues.

    • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - eye protection, hearing protection.

    • Ability to lift up to 20 points.

    • Bi-lingual would be a plus.

    • Experience working in a non-union manufacturing environment preferred.

    • PHR/SPHR certification is a plus.
