    BAE Systems is seeking a Principal Systems Security Engineer in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

    The BAE Systems Adaptive Communications and Sensing, C4ISR Systems business is the primary source of HF & VHF/UHF SATCOM Tactical Radio (TR) equipment for the US Air Force and Army. This team, based at Fort Wayne, Indiana, is responsible for the Architecture, Specification, Development and Analysis of Mission Critical equipment in support of over the horizon mission communications. Some aspects of this work are classified.

    The candidate will have a wide range of activities to perform from a Systems Engineering perspective. These activities include;

    • integrating hardware and software on a tactical airborne subsystems,

    • creating requirements for hardware and software development,

    • assisting our military customers with BAE Systems product's integration and testing,

    • Interfacing and creating deliverable documentation to NSA,

    • and preparing estimates and technical content for multi-million dollar proposals.

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    • Holds SECRET clearance

    • Familiar with Type 1 security requirements

    • Basic understanding of cyber security concepts

    • Able to develop Security Verification Test Procedures and perform testing

    • Familiar with use and handling of COMSEC equipment

    • Basic understanding of both hardware and software designs and processes

    • Familiarity with principles of Gage R&R

    • Experienced in Military RF Communications equipment

    • Ability to handle multiple assignments and work in a dynamic environment

    • Technical writing skills describing product design

    • Experienced with performing and composing test procedures

    • Proficient with (RF sources, Signal Analyzers, RF Power Meters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc)

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

    • Lead Type 1 NSA Type certification

    • NSA interfacing and contacts

    • Experienced / trained in MBSE

    • Proficient with MatLab

    • Proficient with DOORS

    • Experienced integrating a system containing multiple electronic sub-assemblies

    • Familiarity with ESS equipment (thermal chambers / vibration systems)

    Pay Information

    Full-Time Salary Range: $91980 - $156330

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
