    Position Overview

    As a Senior Project Quality Manager , you will take the leadership role in managing district or project quality with minimal corporate supervision. He/she provides primary technical support to all district and project personnel. He/she manages the development and implementation of the Project Quality Plan aligned with corporate quality standards and implements processes to prevent quality issues. This position requires the incumbent to develop thorough knowledge of the project scope and schedule as they apply to quality assurance and quality control. The Senior Quality Manager may be involved in supporting multiple projects and/or districts.

    Responsibilities

    • Promote and maintain effective communications and relations with district management, project management teams, authorized inspectors and engineer or client as required.

    • Recruit, hire, train, mentor and supervise district and project quality control personnel (including quality inspectors, and quality managers)

    • Coordinate quality control staffing needs on projects and assign qualified personnel. Work with other districts as needed to share resources.

    • Assist project teams in setting up the quality department and preparing for project kick-off and pre-job planning meetings. Assist in identifying the proper Inspection and Test Plans (ITP's), checklists, and other documentation for the project.

    • Support project teams in the development and implementation of project quality plans and supplemental procedures as needed.

    • Monitor and report district quality incident and welding metrics.

    • Liaison between authorized inspection agency and jurisdictional authorities. Assist in acquiring authorized inspection services to the projects.

    • Research and answer technical questions; assist in the interpretation of construction codes and standards.

    • Assist the District Welding Engineer to support the district welder continuity, CommonArc, Welder Performance Qualification records, and Welding Procedure Specifications programs.

    Qualifications

    • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E) in good standing (required)

    • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Welding, Civil Engineering or Construction Management/Engineering (preferred)

    • At least Ten (10) years' experience developing and implementing construction quality management programs in Infrastructure, EPC, OGC, or Power industry

    • Ability to travel as needed

    • Exceptional math, computer, verbal and written communication skills; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

    • Effective organizational and time management skills

    • Effective analytical and problem solving skills

    • Ability to work independently or as part of a team

    • Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments

    Base Compensation: $175,000 - $220,000

    (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
