    The Opportunity

    This position works out of our Livermore, CA or Orlando, FL location in the Abbott Heart Failure, Acelis Connected Health business. Our Heart Failure solutions are helping address some of the World's greatest healthcare challenges.

    As a Senior Regulatory Compliance Analyst, you'll have the opportunity to apply subject matter expertise, in an individual contributor role with limited supervision. The role requires the capacity to understand the regulatory, accreditation, business conduct, and licensure requirements related to the business and to apply that specific knowledge. The role provides specialized support in such areas pertaining to quality, required licensure and licensure maintenance, data privacy and security, government regulations, and advises on joint commission standards and lead activities for joint commission accreditation and survey readiness.

    Principle Responsibilities

    • Leads activities, communications and strategic planning related to maintaining Joint Commission accreditation

    • Responsible for acquiring & maintaining state licensure

    • Directly correspond with State Licensing Agencies on licensing matters, including licensing deficiencies, renewal requirements, state disclosures, and amended filings

    • Supports planning and execution for audits - both internal and external

    • Draft and review policies and procedures

    • Monitor and assess compliance to state regulatory requirements

    • Researches, analyses and interprets regulations and requirements to prepare reports on how they impact the organizations operations, identify risks and opportunities, and make strategic recommendations on regulatory policies to management

    • Liaises with external functional or operational area specialists as required.

    • Prepares/reviews materials, including marketing materials, and develops training for regulatory compliance

    • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational trainings, reviewing professional publications, etc.

    • Assists in a variety of Licensure, Regulatory, and Ethics & Compliance projects

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor Degree

    • 5+ years within healthcare-focused regulatory and/or compliance

    • Knowledge of Joint Commission and/or accreditation standards and requiring filings

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Master's Degree

    • Certified in Healthcare Compliance or able to obtain certification within 12 months of hire

    • Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment

    • Excellent verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization

    • Multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner

    • Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills and ability to hold others accountable

    • Ability to evaluate issues, make decisions and determine when to escalate, as necessary

    The base pay for this position is $83,600.00 - $167,200.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
