STAFF ACCOUNTANT

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepares journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and reviews accuracy of sub-ledgers and trial balances within established deadlines.

• Authorizes all purchase requisitions following a thorough review of general ledger coding.

• Analyzes and reviews all selling, general, and administrative expenses (SG& A) expenses before month-end close.

• Verifies accuracy of transactions against budget and capitalize and amortize necessary transactions and expenses.

• Gathers and reviews documentation pertaining to capital projects and fixed assets.

• Analyzes and reports on gross profit and/or budget variance for areas of responsibility.

• Assists management with special projects, workflow process improvements, and other duties, as delegated.

• Supports management with special projects and workflow process improvements and other duties as assigned.

• Maintains knowledge of and ensures compliance with established policies, procedures, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) across all accounting facets.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor of Accounting or Business Administration is required.

• 2 or more years of full cycle accounting.

• Proficiency in common ERP accounting systems and Microsoft Office - Excel.

• Accounting experience in manufacturing industry is preferred.
