Staff Accountant

Description

Robert Half's client, a very well-established and stable private equity firm, is seeking a Staff Accountant (Funds side) to join their team. This person will report directly to the VP Finance. This client expects employees to be in-office on a hybrid basis, typically 2 days/week in office, however, they do offer some flexibility.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with private equity fund financial statement, capital call and distribution package preparation and related reporting to Limited Partners.

• Assist with maintenance of private equity fund general ledgers, including adjusting entries, quarterly closings, bank reconciliations, supporting schedules, alternative investment vehicles and trial balances

• Assist with various tax reporting deliverables, including year-end reporting and intra-year estimates as needed

• Heavy utilization of Excel, accounting software and CRM portal reporting to perform daily tasks

• Assist in cash management and banking, including related legal documentation in some cases

• Assist with the year-end audit process for the private equity funds

• Perform other duties as assigned to support the business functions of the Firm

Requirements

• 1+ yrs. of public Audit or Tax experience - Top 7 preferred.

• OR someone 1+ yrs. at an Asset Mgmt. / Fund experience

• Hungry to learn is a must

• CPA preferred
