  • Description We are looking for a diligent and meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team in the manufacturing industry, based in Burlington, North Carolina. This role will revolve around key accounting functions such as month-end close, general ledger management, billing, accounts receivable, collections, fixed assets, and general accounting. The position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee month-end close procedures and ensure timely completion

    • Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance

    • Process and manage billing operations, ensuring all invoices are issued and paid on time

    • Handle accounts receivable tasks including invoicing, cash application, and customer communication

    • Oversee collections efforts to ensure timely payment of invoices

    • Manage fixed assets, including depreciation schedules

    • Conduct general accounting duties as needed

    • Utilize skills in Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, Fixed Assets, MS Great Plains Dynamics, and Billing Collection to perform duties effectively and efficiently. Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role within the manufacturing industry

    • Proficient in accounts receivable (AR) management and general ledger upkeep

    • Experience with journal entries, month-end close procedures, and management of fixed assets

    • Familiarity with billing collection processes and techniques

    • Proficiency in using MS Great Plains Dynamics software for accounting tasks

    • Demonstrated analytical skills with a strong attention to detail

    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

    • Professional certification such as CPA is a plus

    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

    • Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
