    Do you have strong numeracy and analytical skills and are highly organized and detail oriented? Robert Half is looking for Staff Accountants in the Eugene area to assist our clients. These positions are in high demand and frequently become available. The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of a company's reports and statements. The Staff Accountant also provides management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts, preparing financial statements.

    Job Duties

    • Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and journal entries.

    • Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

    • Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for process improvements.

    • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice verification, payment processing, and collections.

    • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management and external stakeholders.

    • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities to support financial planning.

    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial information and support for decision-making.

    • Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

    • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

    • 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting software.

    • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

    • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

    • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

    • High level of integrity and ethical standards.

    • CPA certification (preferred, but not required).

    • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance (preferred).
