Staff Accountant

Description

This Staff Accountant role's duties will require preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, and general ledger maintenance. If you can perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes, you will succeed in this role. This is a position you will thrive in, if you are a detail-oriented and analytical thinker.

How you will make an impact

• Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable

• Management of customer accounts and reconciliation for customer and general Ledger

• Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation

• Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting

• Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation

• Maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

• Compose financial analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting

• Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries

Requirements

• Required minimum education is a 2-year degree in Business or Accounting.

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics ideal

• Over 1 year of work experience in finance, accounting, customer service, or a related field.

• Proven written and verbal communication skills.

• Foundational knowledge in month end closings

• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Distinguished analytical, quantitative and social skills
