Staff Accountant

Description

Development services company located in the Greater Delaware area is looking to hire a Staff Accountant proficient in US accounting principles. The responsibilities for this Staff Accountant role consist of handling general accounting operations such as: assisting with accounts payable/receivable activities, track profit and loss, processing cash receipts, assisting with the month end close process, maintaining the general ledger, resolving accounting discrepancies, researching accounting data, assisting with the annual audit and compliance process, and tracking and recording electronic and hard copy data. The ideal candidate for this role should have great problem-solving skills, excellent time-management and strong budgeting/forecasting abilities that will ensure revenue generation.

Everyday Responsibilities

• Support daily accounting functions

• Month End/Year End Close

• Invoice Processing

• Maintain and build strong vendor relationships

• Database Management

• Maintain balance sheet accounts

• Assisting with daily cash transactions

• Update electronic and hard copy filing system

• Provide clerical support

• Monitor supplier waivers

• Ad hoc special projects as requested

Requirements

The ideal Staff Accountant will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.

Other requirements for the Staff Accountant role include and are not limited to

• 2+ years of accounting experience

• Construction industry experience a huge plus

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
