    Job Summary and Qualifications

    • You will promote high quality, patient-centered care by collaborating and supporting aspects of the Stroke Program across complex organizations (multi-site campus, service lines

    • You will, in collaboration with the Medical Director and service line leaders, be responsible for assuring evidenced-based standards of care for patients are met as required by The Joint Commission, and other regulatory agencies (ie. American Stroke Association (ASA) Get with the Guidelines Program)

    • You will perform regular analysis of stroke program performance data and make applicable recommendations for process, system, procedure, and operational changes to improve healthcare value and quality

    • You will implement policies, procedures, and objectives and support development, implementation, and the review of programmatic goals, objectives, and priorities to ensure alignment with hospital strategic plans and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and standards

    • You will collaborate with other members of the hospital team to facilitate a multidisciplinary quality assurance review of the care of stroke patients and serve as a liaison to administration, representing the stroke program on various hospital and community committees to enhance and foster a fiscally sound stroke program

    • You will participate as an active member of peer review committees; analyze cases and outcome data and collaborate with physicians to promote and improve practice and optimal patient outcomes

    What qualifications you will need:

    • Current license as a registered nurse or health professional in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation

    • Bachelor's Degree in nursing or health-related field; Master's Degree in nursing or health-related field preferred

    • BLS and ACLS required;

    • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) required - within 24 months- or CHCQM

    • Certification in Healthcare Quality Management (CHCQM) required - within 24 months - or CPHQ

    • Stroke Certified RN preferred

    • National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required within 6 months of hire required

    • 5+ years clinical experience in an acute healthcare setting required

    • 3+ years recent experience in neurologic critical care, emergency care, or neuroscience medical surgical setting preferred

    • 2+ years experience in healthcare quality/ risk management required

    • NIH Stoke Scale Certification within 60 days of hire required
