    Job Description

    This opportunity is part of the Global Technology Commercial Products & Platforms team, where our vision is to develop technology that delights our customers and enables our crews to operate our restaurants reliably and effectively.

    The Associate Tech Lead, Digital Menu Board, plays a pivotal role in driving business success across our markets by demonstrating strong engineering and organizational skills. This is a key player in our market success. As the Associate Tech Lead, you will spearhead the strategy for product quality and deployment, actively supporting the deployment manager in operationalizing market deployments while coordinating activities across market and product release teams. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, they leverage vendor management capabilities to enhance our digital products, ultimately delighting our customers and driving engagement.

    Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

    • Attend all squad-level ceremonies and act as the champion for the market to ensure successful product deployment.

    • Support the Tech Lead in maintaining the output (quality and efficiency) of external vendor squads to ensure they are delivering to the standards required by McDonald's.

    • Maintain documentation standards for all software shipped by the squad.

    • Support the Tech Lead for deployment of new features, including QA, push to production, and defect remediation.

    • Partner with Release Manager for any upcoming releases and maintain release hygiene.

    Qualifications

    • 2+ years experience working in a technology environment with knowledge of Agile software development process, a bachelor's in technology preferred.

    • Familiar partnering with collaborators across an at-scale, complex, global matrixed organizational setup

    • Solid grasp of the latest development technologies

    • Experiences with code refactoring, design patterns, design-driven development, continuous deployment, highly scalable applications, and application security

    • Experience in Agile Development, application of Agile techniques and delivery practices
