    Description:

    Under supervision, responsible for basic supply ordering and replenishment, restocking of clean and removal of soiled linen. Respond appropriately and timely to department special requests for supplies, linen and Supply Chain managed patient equipment (i.e., infusion pumps, syringe pumps, etc.). Deliver and distribute department special orders. Maintain order and cleanliness of storeroom and linen room.

    Education

    High school graduate or GED equivalent

    Experience

    6 months of experience in any one or combination of the following: supply chain-related distribution, warehousing, shipping, receiving, logistics, material handling, linen, inventory control, or other comparable service line required.

    Hospital/health care experience in distribution or warehousing preferred.

    License/Certification:

    Valid Driver's License preferred.

    Skill

    Proficient in written and verbal English language. Requires the knowledge and use of arithmetic including fractions and decimals.

    Skill

    Self-motivated to organize & prioritize own work to insure daily workload is completed; ability to react and perform under stress and emergency situations; and ability to exercise some judgment in work environment.

    Ability to use proper body mechanics in order to lift 50 lbs. and push, pull, or otherwise move in a controlled manner linen carts up to 500 lbs. utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment, up to 90% of work time.

    Functional computer knowledge with basic level of keyboarding skills.

    Basic knowledge of medical supplies & equipment terminology required
