Job Summary and Qualifications

Your responsibilities and tasks may include:

The ORA, working under the direction of the of the Registered Nurses and Surgical Services Leadership Team, will adhere to regulatory standards, policies and procedures while creating a sanitary, safe clinical environment.

The primary responsibilities of this position include

• Transportation of patients to and from the Surgical areas while

• Transports blood products and specimens to and from their respective area

• Ensures specialized equipment/OR tables are ready for cases

• Assists with positioning and prepping

• Maintains all O2 tank exchanges in a safe manner, monitoring PSI levels

• Assists with disposal of hazard waste materials according to policy and procedures

• Assists with assembly of highly specialized equipment

• Understands the rational for Operating Room cleaning practices and consistently demonstrated proper guidelines for room cleaning

• Maintains adequate stock and par levels of certain supplies

• Uses aseptic technique when around the sterile field

• Utilizes outstanding communication skills , maintains collaborative team relationships, fosters a positive work environment and enhances the patient experience

• Assists with patient monitoring to ensure safety first

HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is a 380-bed acute-care hospital. Offering a full range of services. We are home to the most experienced Heart Institute on the Treasure Coast. Lawnwood Hospital provides interventional and therapeutic care, including open-heart surgery. Other hospital services include labor/delivery, pediatrics, orthopedics, oncology, nuclear medicine, adult and pediatric emergency services, and diagnostic services. We also offer inpatient, and outpatient surgical services.

Lawnwood Hospital is a designated Certified Primary Stroke Center. The Physical Rehabilitation Center is CARF accredited. We are a Level II Trauma Center.
