    We are hiring a System Administrator - Top Secret clearance to support our government customer based in Springfield, VA. The position is required to be onsite. The position requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.

    Under the guidance of more senior Server team members, the Systems Administrator provides O&M support - installation, configuration, testing, sustainment, and upgrading as it relates to enterprise server-based solutions on the Microsoft server platforms across the IT enterprise's information systems varying in size and complexity (LAN, MAN, WAN, etc.). Existing Microsoft server-based solutions include a variety of major technology vendors including, but not limited to, Citrix, Esri, McAfee, Microsoft, ServiceNow, and SolarWinds.

    Responsibilities

    • The System Administrator supports the Information Technology Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Server team to provide enterprise-level, high-performance, highly available, server technology solutions (systems, applications, and services) as the customer's Enterprise IT System, Applications, and Services catalogs.

    • The System Administrator supports the initial escalation tier(s) for the Server O&M teams for service requests, incidents, and problems as escalated by the IT Enterprise Service Desk.

    • The System Administrator also contributes to the production and maintenance of documentation for the Server team's solution system(s), sub-system(s), and component(s) deployed and in-use in the customer's IT Solutions portfolio, including as-built documentation, capacity/performance plans, policies and procedures, workflows, run books, and all other area of server system life-cycle planning.

    Qualifications

    • Shall have 3 or more years of hands-on experience providing O&M support of enterprise Microsoft Windows Server operating systems (OSs) and server applications and services, such as Microsoft Active Directory (AD), Exchange, File Services, SQL Server, and SharePoint, etc. across multi-platform information systems varying in size and complexity (LAN, MAN, WAN, etc.).

    • Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Active Directory (AD) as a centralized directory service for authentication and authorization for all IT enterprise end-users.

    • Demonstrated experience operating and maintaining solutions in secure processing environments which must adhere to U.S. Government Information Assurance and Security standards such as the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Requirements Guides (SRGs) and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).

    • Demonstrated experience providing technical assistance and support to enterprise Microsoft Windows server platforms.

    • Demonstrated experience working with remote monitoring and management tools to troubleshoot, assess, and resolve issues across a globally dispersed IT enterprise.

    • Demonstrated experience working directly with customers - in face or over the phone - to elicit all necessary details to capture their IT service request, incident, or problem accurately and completely.

    • Shall meet the Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) System Administrator (451); Intermediate Level for SECNAV M-5239.2 compliance. (See Navy Cool WebSite)

    Education

    • Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited University; or

    Certifications

    CompTIA Security+ ce; orGIAC Security Essentials (GSEC); orSystems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)

      • Desired Qualifications:
    • Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Active Directory (AD) as a centralized directory service for authentication and authorization for all IT enterprise end-users.

    • Demonstrated experience operating and maintaining solutions in secure processing environments which must adhere to U.S. Government Information Assurance and Security standards such as the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Requirements Guides (SRGs) and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).

    • Technical certifications in other enterprise-level OSs, applications, and technologies, such as Citrix, Cisco, Microsoft, Red Hat, Splunk, and SolarWinds are also a plus.

    • Working knowledge of newer core Microsoft enterprise Server technologies to include AD, Windows 10, Windows Server 2016, Microsoft SQL Server 2016, and Microsoft IIS 10 is a plus.

    • Familiarity with Microsoft PowerShell and its local and remote diagnostic and analysis capabilities.

    • Familiarity with basic Networking troubleshooting concepts and approaches.

    • Familiarity providing O&M support for Microsoft Exchange services for end-users/consumers, such as administering mailboxes and public folders is a plus.

    Security Clearance Requirements

    The position requires U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret with SCI clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
