    Be part of the Auxiliary Power Unit Project Engineering team, within Honeywell Power Systems, supporting small commercial APUs. You will learn the small APU designs and serve as design authority for one or more product lines. You'll interact with customers like Gulfstream, Bombardier, Dassault, Embraer, and others during development programs, entry into service issue resolution, and sustaining efforts. You will also regularly interface with Honeywell Customer Support personnel to address in-service issues and with supply chain teams to support product cost reduction programs.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Work APU design changes, validation testing, and production support.

    • Build and lead effective cross-functional teams to drive work assignments and project objectives.

    • Establish and maintain effective and responsive working relationships with customer counterparts.

    • Decipher customer and airworthiness requirements and establish corresponding APU validation plans.

    • Establish project plans including workscope with detailed budget, schedule and staffing plans.

    • Work with Project Engineering Technical Leader, Program Manager and Program Planning & Control to drive compliance to established budget, schedule and staffing plans as the program progresses.

    • Prepare technical presentations and present information to internal and external customers.

    • Complete documentation to support work being conducted including test procedures, test reports, general customer technical communication, service bulletins and aftermarket manuals.

    • Support field service engineers in determining urgent flightline APU problems.

    • Drive root cause and corrective action of customer service-related difficulties utilizing the internal review board process.

    • Travel 10% (domestic and internationally)

    U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

    Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

    YOU MUST HAVE

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematic

    • 1 + year of related experience.

    WE VALUE

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineer or Aerospace.

    • Engineering experience executing aerospace product development or customer support efforts.

    • Knowledge of Honeywell APU or Engine product lines

    • Effective communication skills and ability to manage a cross-functional team in a matrixed environment.

    • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events
