  • Description: As a F-35 Mission System Design Engineer, you will:

    • Perform air system, air vehicle, and mission systems requirements to derive a mission systems design and allocate functional, performance, and interface requirements to the components of that design

    • The result will be the incremental development of sub-system requirements, developed through a set of requirements work packages using systems engineering principles and processes

    • Define system operation, perform functional partitioning, perform requirements decomposition, and interface definition for each assigned capability

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience

    • Some familiarization with design or requirements

    Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government Secret security clearance.

    Desired Skills:

    System design experience with requirements decomposition or development

    • Experience working on F-35 or similar platform

    • Background in Link-16/Comms/Data Links or in weapons integration

    • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

    • Experience using JIRA

    • Strong customer interface skills

    Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

    Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

    Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
