  • Tax Analyst - Cambridge, MA.

    Reporting to the Senior Tax Director, and under some supervision, this individual calculates book to tax differences, prepares federal and state tax estimates and returns, assists in tax accounting assignments, and prepares other miscellaneous filings. The individual also assists Philips' business units with tax issues that may arise. The individual has knowledge of federal and multi-state tax laws and regulations, accounting related applications, experience with corporate tax compliance & provision software. This person exercises a reasonable level of independent judgment, but within established department systems and procedures.

    Your role:

    • Tax Compliance:

    • Calculates book to tax differences.

    • Enters and reviews data in tax systems.

    • Prepares federal and state tax returns and supporting schedules.

    • Prepares other miscellaneous tasks.

    • Tax Accounting and Reporting:

    • Prepares deferred tax asset calculations, permanent differences, financial reporting reconciliations, and other provision tasks.

    • Enters data into provision systems.

    • Audits or Other Special Projects:

    • Prepares responses to notices from Tax Authorities.

    • May assist the Managers and Senior Managers with other projects, as needed.

    You're the right fit if:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required. Certified Public Accountant certification, and/or master's degree in taxation, or a candidate for MST, is expected.

    • An appropriate knowledge of federal and multi-state tax laws and regulations is necessary.

    • Good mathematical, interpersonal, oral and written skills are necessary.

    • 2+ years of relevant experience preparing corporate federal and multi-state corporate tax filings is required.

    • Experience with Corptax. Hyperion Tax Provision, or an equivalent tax compliance and provision software system is expected. Experience with Altreyx or similar system a plus.
