We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Staff in a CPA firm based in Lexington, Kentucky. This role involves a variety of functions, including tax compliance, planning, and preparation of business and individual income tax returns. You will be working in a fast-paced, paperless environment, utilizing various software such as UltraTax and Quickbooks®.

Responsibilities

• Prepare business and individual income tax returns

• Provide tax compliance and planning services for both businesses and individuals

• Leverage UltraTax, Quickbooks®, and Microsoft Office programs for tax-related tasks

• Maintain a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills

• Communicate effectively in written and verbal forms

• Multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously

• Solve problems effectively and demonstrate strong mathematical proficiency

• Assist with tax projections and planning

• Ensure the accuracy of bookkeeping and income tax compliance

• Adapt to working in a paperless environment.

Requirements

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and Creative Solutions - UltraTax

• Experience with Individual Tax Return and Corporate Tax Return preparation

• Demonstrable skills in Bookkeeping

• Proven expertise in Income Tax Compliance

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

• CPA certification or progress towards certification would be considered an advantage.
