Teacher Assistant

Description:

Under supervision, the Teacher's Assistant provides support to the teaching staff by providing classroom and playground supervision of children, preparing materials for learning activities, participating and guiding children in learning activities, assisting in providing a safe and sanitary environment for children, and working with parents in planning to meet individual children's needs.

Requirements:

• Based on California Early Childhood Education Teacher Credentialing for Child Development Assistant Permit: High School Diploma or GED and twelve semester units of early childhood education from an accredited school.
• Willingness and interest in pursing higher education in Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Development, or CDA.
• Must pass criminal record clearance and child abuse index check
• Must pass TB test and occupational physical
• Valid California Driver's License
