    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a passionate, proactive, and expert-level technical curriculum designer to support continuous improvement and enterprise operational training needs at the enterprise service desk level.

    We are seeking a passionate, proactive, beginning to intermediate-level curriculum design specialist/ technical trainer to support the NuAxis Academy through strong eLearning design. Our new team member is a rockstar in gathering and analyzing business/functional requirements, facilitating cross-functional teams and SMEs, and managing multiple training projects and plans. The primary job function is to create virtual, in-person, and eLearning training solutions for employees at an enterprise help desk in service of a large government contract.

    Our new team member is creative, hard-working, and meticulous in their ability to make learning transfer. We do value quality, along with a demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theory, as well as instructional systems design best practices for virtual, in-person, and eLearning. Our new team member is a high-functioning individual contributor and will be the go-to curriculum designer for the entire employee team who supports this government contract.     Key responsibilities include:

    • Gather and analyze business/functional requirements, facilitate cross-functional teams and SMEs, and manage multiple training projects and plans

    • Designs and develops awesome and deeply meaningful curriculum and learning programs for employees on our government contract; the training products are not just cool-they're also rooted in adult learning principles to make sure learning transfers and sticks

    • Develop innovative and easy-to-understand training materials and tools

    • Design, develop, evaluate, and assess training materials that blend our contract's established policies and procedures with the transfer of technical skills

    • Use development software to construct courses and programs (examples could be HTML 5, Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia)

    • Conduct (or train others on how to conduct) training sessions through webinars, one-on-one or group instruction, and eLearning as necessary

    • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning through Kirkpatrick or other industry-approved best practices

    • Document and maintain all training processes and issues

    • Maintain document repository in a central location to track version control - i.e., MS Teams or SharePoint.

    • Identify operations risks, training gaps, and learning opportunities and communicate to stakeholders and other teams to drive resolution.

    • Gather and provide feedback on lessons learned best practices, and innovations in processes/procedures and tools to improve training materials and increase the effectiveness of training.

    • Work with all managers and leads in the Enterprise Service Desk and Federal clients to create as-needed training solutions for emergent training needs.

    • Curate a library of training resources and maintain accurate records of employee training and skill levels.

    • Identify new industry trends and current training techniques to make it the most effective for employees.

    • Empower a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspects of data center training activities.

    • Ensure the effectiveness, productivity, and impact of the knowledge management system.

    • Work with subject matter experts to develop knowledge assets or scripts for technicians.

    Education & Experience Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (required)

    • 2-5 years of experience in developing and delivering Help Desk or IT training, Help Desk process improvement, Help Desk knowledge management, or related experience in another field.

    • Great oral communication skills to teach all skill levels.

    • Excellent written communication to create training programs.

    • Ability to design fun and interactive training solutions.

    Additional Skill Sets a Plus:

    • Technical writing skills for Standard Operating Procedures.

    • The ability to perform a gap analysis of needed areas of training.

    • The ability to work with multiple teams to develop training as needed.

    • Ability to work in and manage ambiguity, including dealing with issues, problems, or events that do not always have a process, system, or solution in place

    • Knowledge of eLearning and virtual learning-related software. Examples include Captivate, Camtasia, Articulate Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Teams, and SharePoint

    • An understanding of how people learn in different ways, and the ability to translate that understanding to customized training products
