Technology Team Manager- Endpoint Engineering

Overview:

As the Endpoint Engineering Team Manager you will play a pivotal role in overseeing our technical operations, particularly focusing on Desktop, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), and Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)/Packaging. This is a hands-on position requiring deep technical expertise, exceptional leadership skills, and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead a highly technical team focused on Desktop, VDI, and SCCM/Packaging.

• Hands-on involvement in engineering projects, ensuring efficient deployment and management of desktop environments.

• Develop and implement strategies for deploying Windows 11 across the organization.

• Drive the adoption and optimization of cloud-based virtual PC solutions, aligning with organizational goals and industry best practices.

• Mentor and coach team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate desktop and VDI solutions into broader IT initiatives.

Education and Experience Required:

A combined minimum of 11 years' higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 4 years' engineering and/or architecture experience and 5 years' leadership experience including people management

Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate technical teams.

Strong technical proficiency in deploying and managing Windows environments, ideally Windows 11.

Experience developing and executing strategies for cloud-based virtual PC solutions is highly desirable.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $130,795.52 - $217,992.53 Annual (USD). The successful candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
