Description: Lays out, fabricates, and assembles metalworking dies, molds, and machine tool fixtures by analyzing blueprints, sketches, models, and engineering or shop specifications. Uses a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments. Computes dimensions; determines machining and material or parts required. May perform precision work to exacting tolerances and dimensions; recommend revisions in design and/or substitutions in material based on machinability or fabrication problems encountered; and solve problems relating to unusual materials, work-holding arrangements, machine settings, fabrication methods, and production process. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Working knowledge of manual bridge ports, lathes and CNC mills / lathes. Good communication and computer skills. Works with limited supervision and self starter. Uses both standard and metric system. Good attention to detail and attendance. Specialized training in specific aspects of job functions and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks, and 3 years of experience.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
