Utility Trailer Sales of Kansas City is seeking qualified technicians and entry-level technicians to work in our 18-bay shop in Kansas City, KS. We are the dealer for Utility Trailers, Clement Trailers, and Trailstar; while also performing complete repairs on dry van trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and end dump trailers.Utility Trailer Sales of Kansas City is locally owned and operated by Kansas City Peterbilt. Experienced applicants must be capable of making quality repairs to the suspension, lighting /electrical system, air brake and ABS systems, steel and aluminum welding, and trailer body/structure and doors. The applicant must also possess the skills to perform accurate and complete preventive maintenance inspections, PMs, and annual DOT inspections. Training is available on specific air and electronic systems.

Starting pay for qualified technicians starts at $25 per hour.

Starting pay for entry or apprentice-level technicians starts at $20 per hour.

Perform accurate and complete vehicle inspections (DOT, PM)

Perform air brake diagnostics, repairs, and inspections.

Perform ABS diagnostics and repairs utilizing a laptop diagnostic system

Perform floor, roof, door, and side panel repairs

Perform minor and major accident repairs

Perform electrical systems diagnostics and repairs

Perform air brake diagnostics and repairs

Perform wheel end repairs and adjustments

Perform aluminum and steel welding

Perform general repairs on trailer and trailer dollies

Perform PM maintenance accurately and efficiently

Responsible to adhere to all warranty policies and procedures

Ability to use electronic technical manuals and resources for diagnostics and repair

Provide accurate documentation on repair orders

Are eager to learn and willing to be trained

Have a positive attitude

Have strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task

Work well with coworkers

Have the desire to perform top-level work on a daily basis
