    This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to assume the Payroll Accounting Specialist position within the Carrier Business Services organization. Become part of a growing shared service division that reinforces processes to sustain flexibility as the business needs change. Job responsibilities can be subject to change based on the alignment of processes within the organization.

    The Payroll Accounting Specialist will work at the Carrier headquarters in Palm Beach Gardens.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data

    • Support union payroll requirements

    • Certified payroll reporting for government customers

    • Resolve payroll discrepancies and inquiries

    • Assure compliance with wage, labor laws, and company payroll policies

    • Maintain fringe rate calculation and benefits

    • Serve as a liaison for Local Union audits

    • Prepare and approve payroll journal entries and account reconciliations

    • Manage, report and mistake-proof escapes & turn-backs

    • Special ad-hoc projects as assigned by the manager

    Basic Qualifications

    • Associate degree

    • 1+ years of Payroll experience

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

    • Union payroll

    • PC Applications i.e., SAP S4 Hana, Star Trac, Salesforce, ADP Enterprise, and/or ADP Globalview

    • In-country equivalent payroll certifications/qualifications

    • MS Office with advanced MS Excel i.e., complex formulas, pivot tables, and reports

    • Detail-oriented; high sense of urgency and deliver a quality work product on time

    • Work with sensitive and confidential data

    • Communication skills; present recommendations effectively to management in written and verbal English

    • Organizational skills
