    ArborMetrics Solutions, LLC (AMS) is now seeking a motivated and highly skilled individual to provide expert consulting/field services and project management for multiple clients' vegetation management programs and disaster response efforts.

    The company offers a vehicle, computer, and phone as part of the provided equipment to facilitate the completion of work assignments and projects.

    Job Type : Full-Time+, Exempt

    Roving Work in the Following States: CA, OR, WA, ID, MT

    Pay

    • $27.00 - $40.00 HR (DOE and Certifications)

    • Up to 60-hour work weeks (20+ hours OT)

    • Frequent Travel Required, per diem and lodging reimbursement apply, up to $900/week

    Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

    • Conduct detailed field assessments that identify/target specific vegetation management needs per clients' specifications - including site evaluations, hazardous tree evaluations, and wood/debris management plans.

    • Supervise/conduct inspections, and surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions and work plans.

    • Meet with landowners, agencies, municipalities, and other utility stakeholders and contract representatives to respond to concerns, questions, and issues about vegetation management work.

    • Support and management of vegetation management contractors for routine, emergency, and/or other special projects as they relate to clients' vegetation management programs.

    • Participate in public presentations, hearings, and meetings.

    • Assist with documenting, tracking, and reporting project/program-specific goals/milestones.

    • Initiate, supervise, oversee, and/or develop requirements from a project's inception to the conclusion of vegetation management programs.

    • Provide strategic advice, technical guidance, and expertise to program and project staff

    • Provide detailed analysis, reporting, technical writing, evaluation, and recommendation for improvements, and optimization for program challenges/issues.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Must be 18 years of age or older.

    • Field & project management experience in forestry/arboriculture/vegetation management programs and processes.

    • Proficient in Microsoft applications. GIS knowledge is a plus.

    • Exceptional customer service and adept conflict resolution skills are essential for this role.

    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects concurrently.

    • Ability to delegate and track work tasks and hold individuals accountable for work completion.

    • Ability to identify local trees and knowledge of growth rate.

    • Ability to quickly learn equipment used for vegetation management and utility's Tree Pruning and Pre-Inspection standards.

    Education & Experience:

    • Working knowledge of Integrated Vegetation Management (IVM), techniques, and equipment used for vegetation management is preferred.

    • Utility Specialist experience is a plus

    • 12+ months of work experience in vegetation management/forestry or related field is preferred

    • 2-4 year degree in Forestry, Natural Resource Sciences/Management, Horticulture or related field preferred

    • Working knowledge of ISA BMPs for Utility Pruning

    Pre-Screen:

    • Upon offer, may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.

    License & Certifications:

    • A valid Driver's License is required.

    • ISA Certified Arborist (Preferred, Not Required)

    • TRAQ Qualified Arborist (Preferred, Not Required)

    • Registered Professional Forester (Preferred, Not Required)

    • Certified Tree Safety Professional (Preferred, Not Required)

    Physical Requirements

    • RARE (less than 10%): stooping, kneeling, squatting, body-twisting, crawling, climbing poles, color vision, lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, climbing stairs, lifting over 10 lbs. to 50 lbs., lifting up to 50 lbs.

    • OCCASIONAL (up to 33%): sitting, manual dexterity, climbing on/off a truck, gripping, reaching, range of motion, carrying, balancing, lifting up to 50 lbs.

    • FREQUENT (up to 66%): standing, walking, sense of touch, seeing distant, hearing-speech range, depth perception.

    • CONTINUOUS (up to 100%): seeing, and speaking clearly.

    Safety

    Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must have sufficient eyesight to judge distance/coordination of equipment and tools, be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods, be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments, be able to wear personal protective equipment as necessary, be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day, have the endurance necessary to traverse various terrain, be capable of performing job duties throughout a standard 8- or 10-hour day, be able to communicate with others, read, write, and comprehend written/verbal job instructions and information, and communicate and handle conflict professionally.

    • Works in all temperatures and weather

    • May work around excessive noise from machines, chain saw, wood chippers, and other equipment with hearing protection

    • May be exposed to nature i.e., irritating plants and biting or stinging insects, and dust

    • May work on unlevel terrain

    • May be exposed to dogs and other animals
