VP/Director of Finance

Robert Half is looking for a Director of Finance to join a well-respected company. The director of finance must have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills in order to be a part of the management team. How you will make an impact

• Propose benchmarks for analyzing financial and operating performance

• Maintains and reviews budgeting and forecasting models

• Collaborate with department managers to develop five-year business plans

• Manage the operating procedures of the department, including short- and long-range goals, objectives, and policies- Hire and train employees, especially finance staff, and manage retention

• Supervise all operations of the finance and accounting department

• Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts

• Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions

• Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives

• Analyze monthly operating performance against budget

• Oversee the preparation of all financial reports

• Direct, review, and prepare budget management and financial planning functions

• Ensure adherence to budgetary reporting requirements, including local, state, and federal

• Oversee insurance and risk management

Requirements - Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Strong knowledge of cost control, budgeting, accounting, and finance principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

• Very detail oriented and expert analytical thinking skills

• Experience with multiple financial and accounting reporting systems

• 10+ years of finance and accounting experience

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting

• MBA or CPA is preferred
