  • Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity in the Printing/Publishing industry located in Greensboro, North Carolina. The role we are seeking is a Web Content Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the accessibility standards of our web content. This includes ensuring the compliance of our web content with WCAG 2.2 AA, particularly in relation to PDF documents, and understanding how assistive technologies interact with PDF documents.

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure thorough understanding and application of WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) 2.2 AA, especially as they relate to PDF documents.

    • Maintain knowledge of PDF/UA (PDF Universal Accessibility) standards.

    • Utilize tools like Adobe Acrobat Pro, PAC (PDF Accessibility Checker), CommonLook PDF, AXE Monitor and other PDF remediation software proficiently.

    • Familiarize with screen readers like JAWS, NVDA, or VoiceOver to test PDF accessibility.

    • Understand how assistive technologies interact with PDF documents, including screen readers and other accessibility software.

    • Show proven track record of successfully remediating PDFs to meet ADA compliance standards.

    • Perform accessibility testing on PDFs.

    • Conduct both automated and manual testing to ensure compliance.

    • Demonstrate a high level of precision and attention to detail to ensure all elements of a PDF, including text, images, tables, and forms, are accessible.

    • Identify and resolve accessibility issues effectively and efficiently. Requirements - Proficiency in Digital and Digital Content Management

    • Experience with ADA Accommodations and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines

    • Knowledge of PDF formats and Adobe Acrobat software

    • Skilled in Remediation processes

    • Proficiency in Web Content and Web Content Management

    • Prior experience in the Printing/Publishing industry

    • Strong communication and organizational skills

    • Ability to work independently and in a team
