Web Designer

Description

We are seeking a highly creative and experienced Web Designer to work with our client for a two week project. This person will play a key role in the creation and implementation of their web branding strategy for a variety of audiences. The Successful candidate should have experience using tools like Figma, have a solid understanding of website layout in WordPress and are adept at creating meaningful and relevant logos intended for web use.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Designing engaging and responsive web layouts using WordPress.

• Ensuring user experience determines design choices.

• Developing features to enhance the user experience.

• Striking a balance between functional and aesthetic design.

• Ensuring websites are optimized for smartphones.

• Building reusable code for future use.

• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with a keen eye for detail.

• Designing visuals imagery for websites and ensuring that they are in line with branding for clients.

• Working with different content management systems.

• Testing and improving the design of the website.

• Establishing design guidelines, standards, and best practices.

• Creating website logos and banners with branding in mind.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Web Design or related field, or equivalent experience.

• Proven understanding of graphic design fundamentals.

• Demonstrated proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and other visual design tools.

• Experience with Figma and other relevant design tools is a prerequisite.

• Proficient with front-end development web programming languages such as HTML and CSS, JQuery.

• Familiarity with WordPress or other content management systems.

• Experience with responsive and adaptive design.

• Understanding of SEO principles.

• Good problem-solving skills.

• Excellent visual design skills.

• Ability to work in a team or individually.
