Yard Crew

Performs general yard and heavy equipment duties under the supervision of the Yard Manager.

Essential Duties:

1. Assists in the removal of vessels from water, using movable lift cranes or marine railway.

1. Moves vessels and molds as necessary to and from storage bays.

1. Positions and secures blocking at bottom and sides of vessels according to size, weight, and weight distribution of vessels, using fasteners, hand tools, and power tools.

1. Maintains knowledge of tides and assists in the coordination of boat movement.

1. Handles lines and has on-the water and boat handling experience.

1. Can operate a fork truck and learn to operate other heavy equipment (e.g., travel lift).

1. Follow defined instructions and procedures in performance of tasks to an exacting degree.

1. Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe, clean work area.

1. All work to be performed to Hinckley Company quality standards.

1. Perform other related duties as necessary and assigned.
2. Lift and carry up to 60 lbs. on a frequent basis (over 40% and up to 70%).
3. Requires frequently lifting or moving heavy weight materials.
4. Must be able to stoop, bend, kneel, lift, push and pull.
5. Requires frequent mental and visual attention on an intermittent basis.
6. Requires working under somewhat disagreeable conditions on an occasional basis where elements such as dust, dirt, heat, fumes, cold, vibration, noise, water, or chemicals may be present.

Other:

1. Valid Vehicle Driver's License
2. Must be able to work flexible schedules and early start times and weekends.
