Cloud Infrastructure DevSecOps Engineer (23606)

Job Description

The Cloud Infrastructure DevOps Engineer position will focus on all aspects of design, analysis, implementation and support of systems, software or other solutions pertaining to deploying capabilities to cloud systems.

The candidate will work within a team of software and IT engineers to build high performance, cloud based solutions.

• Support the development of open architectures and applications, infrastructure, and cloud platforms to ensure they are best suited for Cloud deployment and consumption.

• Support the adoption of Cloud best practices and supporting technologies to enable such capabilities as DevSecOps, Big Data/Analytics, AI, Micro-Services.

• Support the architecture, design, development, troubleshoot, and implementation of cloud solutions

• Work closely with the Information Technology Security team to ensure the applications and solutions designed and deployed are secure and compliant.

• Effectively Interface with Customer personnel at varying organizational levels

• Must be self-motivated and expected to work independently with minimal supervision

• Report status on tasks and assignments

• Must be able to generate preliminary and detailed designs as required for enhancements or modifications to existing designs, requiring the application of current industry design concepts and utilization of basic technical writing skills.

• Must be able to perform effectively as part of a project "team".

Skills and Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in DevOps

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field required.

• Container management technologies (such as OpenShift, AKS, EKS, Rancher, Docker)

• Source code repository (such as Git, BitBucket, Mercurial, or Subversion)

• Defect management system (such as Jira, Bugzilla or Fogbugz)

• Azure, AWS or GCP

• SonarQube, Nexus, Twistlock/Prisma Cloud, and Terraform

• Agile methodologies

• Experience not only using but administering the above tools is preferred

• Linux system administration experience - Gateway (Kong) experience

• Network and operating systems background

• Experience with custom GitLab ci pipelines

• Ability to design and architect new solutions

• Significant amount of exp with Linux and system administration

• Exp shaping RBAC permissions for multi-tenant envs

• Exp in DoD environments

• Experience with writing Linux bash scripts

• Experience with one or more of the following: Terraform, Cloud Formation, Microsoft Bicep

• Any of the following: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP), (ISC)² Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
