Description Job Title: Litigation Attorney Associate - Plaintiff Personal Injury Location: Carmel, Indiana About the Firm: Our client, a progressive Plaintiff Personal Injury Law firm, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Litigation Attorney to join their team in Carmel, Indiana. They are known for their commitment to clients and impactful litigation strategies. Job Summary: The successful candidate will be entrusted with a wide range of legal tasks, including drafting legal documents, conducting extensive research, and maintaining clear communication with various stakeholders. This role is pivotal to the smooth running of their operations. Responsibilities: Draft, review, and ensure the precision of legal documents such as pleadings, motions, complaints, demands, and discovery procedures. Conduct comprehensive legal research and factual investigations to provide case preparation support. Attend and assist at depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials. Analyze statutes, decisions, legal articles, codes, documents, and other relevant data to determine causes of action and advance case preparation. Maintain clear, frequent communication with clients, colleagues, court staff, and other stakeholders. Participate in calendar management, docketing, and preparation for depositions, mediations, and trials. Manage and maintain client files in a case management system, oversee document filing with courts. Handle case negotiations and prepare for settlements. Perform other varied duties as directed to meet the ongoing needs of the firm. Requirements Qualifications: Possession of a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school. A License to practice law in Indiana. Proficiency in using case management software and LexisNexis. Must have prior experience in civil litigation and personal injury litigation. Adept at complaint handling, drafting legal documents, and conducting advanced legal research. Experience in defending depositions is preferred. Knowledge and experience in discovery processes Ability to lead negotiations and confidence in attending court hearings. Experience in mediation and arbitration hearings is necessary.
