ResponsibilitiesThe Instructional Designer is responsible for the design and creation of training intended to drive organizational learning and results. This role will apply instructional design and multi-media skills to analyze, develop, and maintain training curriculum, such as eLearning modules, job aids, and other resources, that meet the diverse learning needs of our teammates.
Responsibilities:
Apply instructional design theories, practices, and methods in the design and creation of instructional materials, including instructor-led training, eLearning courses, videos, job aids, self-study guides, and structured on-the-job learning (examples of structured on-the-job training include training plans, progressive training plans, guided learning activities, and skill verification).
Work with subject matter experts to develop materials and courses that fulfil learning
objectives
, meet the needs and learning styles of participants, and
drives
performance and measurable business outcomes.
Assist
in defining instructional, learning, or performance
objectives
for learners
Develop solutions and make recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs.
Provide advice and guidance on design challenges, assess performance gaps, and recommend solutions
to meet the learning needs of teammates.
Upload and
maintain
content documentation and course folders in various systems, such as SharePoint and the Learning Management System (LMS).
Ensure that training materials and programs are current,
accurate
, and effective.
Research and advocate for new innovations in learning design and education,
identifying
opportunities for continuous improvement.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (Instructional Design, Communication, or related field).
4-5 years
of relevant work experience.
Experience with authoring tools (such as Articulate 360).
Proficiency
in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Learning Management System (LMS).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Proficiency
in writing effective copy, instructional text, and audio scripts.
Strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects concurrently.
Strong organizational, time management, and conflict management skills.
Ability to work consultatively.
Self-directed with a proactive attitude towards managing projects, stakeholders, and deliverables.
