Job Title: Senior Preconstruction Engineer

As a Senior Preconstruction Engineer, you will be working in a highly collaborative and supportive environment.

What you can expect in a Senior Preconstruction Engineer role:

• Evaluating new & existing client requests for proposals and developing cost effective mechanical / plumbing related solutions that are technically sound, accurate, and energy efficient.

• Creating schematic level drawings and equipment matrixes based upon preliminary load calculations to be utilized for material take-offs & equipment pricing by the estimating department.

• Assisting the Pre-Construction Manager in the development of project proposals, basis of design narratives, and life cycle cost analysis of various mechanical systems.

• Presentations to owners, general contractors, and customers regarding basic HVAC & Plumbing engineering topics associated with proposed mechanical solutions.

• Attending project kickoff meetings and design/construction coordination meetings.

• Assisting the Engineering Department Manager in review of in-house created construction documents for quality control, accuracy, completeness, and constructability.

• Provide technical mentoring to in-house mechanical engineers and construction project managers on HVAC, Plumbing, Hydronic/Process Piping engineering techniques, code references and related software programs.

• Assists in the review of construction documents for plan and spec type projects during the preconstruction phase of work.

• Building positive working relationships with customers, consultants, subcontractors, team members, and suppliers.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.

• Current Professional Engineering (P.E) License - Mechanical Discipline

• Minimum of 8 years of Professional HVAC & Plumbing system design experience.
