    As a Senior Software Engineer, you will contribute to a cross disciplinary environment within the Avionics team. You will also thrive on tackling challenges, as you will develop and integrate leading-edge software tools, supercomputing clusters, and real-time software embedded solutions.

    This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment.

    What YOU will do:

    • You will measure and analyze software designs for equipment/products to ensure current and future needs of the business are met.

    • You will build and implement procedures that are used to support hardware and software product development and functions.

    • You will operate equipment and computer systems for testing and software design purposes to facilitate operations and ensure that established objectives are achieved.

    • You will design, develop, document, test and debug control and diagnostic systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.

    • You will conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.

    • You will determine end user needs by analyzing system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements and input data acquisition.

    • You will develop test plan, procedures and code

    • You will develop software configuration standards for company-wide use.

    • You will provide mentorship and training to junior team members

    Education & Experience:

    • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and 5 years prior relevant experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.

    Qualifications you must have

    • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

    • Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).

    • 3+ years working experience in analysis, design and development of simple applications or portions of more complex applications.

    • 3+ years working experience in code review or performance monitoring or related.

    Skills we value

    • Experience with object-oriented programming languages (C++, Python, ADA)

    • Experience in developing/modifying software based on functional specifications.

    • Experience in software verification based on DO-178 or related

    • Previous experience working in the aerospace industry

    • Experience conducting test planning & unit- tests

    • Experience in code review or performance monitoring

    • Experience in National Instruments LABVIEW

    • Experience with communication buses (ARINC-429, ARINC-664, CAN, TTP)

    • Experience with Linux and/or Windows System Administration

    • Experience in Hardware/Software integration and troubleshooting

    • Knowledge of Agile software development
