  • UVA Health is seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Specialist to join UVA Health's Office of Strategic Marketing and Communications. As the Social Media Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in executing comprehensive social media strategies to elevate UVA Health's online presence, foster meaningful engagement with our community, and bolster our reputation as a leading healthcare provider.     • Work with Marketing Manager and/or Senior Marketing Specialists to implement marketing communication campaigns and initiatives that meet departmental business goals and are consistent with the established strategic marketing direction and goals outlined by executive leadership and marketing.

    • Develops project management plans, inclusive of deadline and budget parameters.

    • Works cross-functionally with other marketing department teams/subject matter experts to develop integrated marketing plans and timelines in support of identified business goals; responsible for ensuring projects remain on schedule.

    • Tracks competitive marketing activity on a consistent basis, developing insights on messaging and marketing strategy for collective team discussion in order to influence marketing strategy.

    • Generates and resources insights for strategy/creative briefing documents, leveraging business, brand, competitive and market data.

    • Independently reviews and provides feedback on all marketing materials developed for assigned service lines to ensure UVA Health brand/quality standards and communications objectives are consistently met.

    • Interfaces and communicates directly with clinical stakeholders in support of marketing initiatives.

    • Manages billing/invoices and tracking of marketing spend for assigned service lines/projects.

    • Responsible for completion of ad-hoc project initiatives from start to finish under the supervision of the Marketing Manager/Sr. Specialist, such as developing marketing recommendations and points of view.

    • Work with department staff to compile and report Return on Investment (ROI) data and methodologies.

    • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

    Position Compensation Range: $49,420.80 - $79,081.60 Annual

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    Education: Associate's degree with 6 years of related marketing experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

    Experience: 2 years of prior marketing PR or ad agency required.

    Licensure: None required.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
